The children's author David Walliams parted ways with longtime publisher.
Acclaimed children's author and TV personality David Walliams has been dropped by his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.
An official for the company stated: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish future works by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the conclusion was made after an review of allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable towards female individuals.
The company did not confirm the motivations for this action, stating: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."
An Illustrious Literary Career
Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, having sold over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in 55 languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins back in 2008.
A number of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into small-screen adaptations.
His bibliography includes more than 40 books altogether, including a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins in October.
Television and Literature
His initial claim to fame came on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE in 2017 in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
