Flyers flying with British Airways will soon access quick wifi onboard free of charge after a major agreement from the billionaire's satellite provider.
Complimentary plus Quick Internet Available to Everyone
British Airways stated that the complimentary, “fast and dependable” internet offering via the satellite provider will be offered to customers flying coach, premium economy, and premium cabins starting soon.
Widespread Rollout Across Several Carriers
The holding company for the airline, International Airlines Group, confirmed it had reached an agreement involving Starlink to provide connectivity access across over 500 planes across the group's carriers, including the Irish airline, Iberia, plus the low-cost airline.
Seamless Wifi from Gate through Arrival
BA noted that this introduction of this service formed part of a multi-billion pound “modernization” plan and would offer smooth connectivity coverage to passengers from the gate through arrival, including when traveling across seas or isolated areas.
Customers may hook up several gadgets and do not need a special login.

Current Wifi Options
Limited connectivity access remains provided to British Airways flyers on nearly all of its aircraft through their .air service.
Enrollees in BA’s reward scheme are able to send texts and text-only correspondence onboard free of charge, while passengers wishing to watch music, films, or content on the journey and are not travelling in business or first may pay from four pounds ninety-nine and twenty-one pounds ninety-nine for a connectivity plan.
