Skydance Paramount Set to Remove Around 2,000 United States Roles β News
Paramount Skydance will begin mass layoffs during the week starting 27 October, eliminating approximately 2,000 American roles within a expense reduction strategy valued at $2bn overseen by CEO David Ellison.
The layoffs come after the merger of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed in August with a value of $8.4bn.
More international job cuts are expected, with the company aiming to disclose all specifics via its third-quarter financial update on 10 November.
Earlier reports suggested that Paramount was looking to reduce from 2,000 to 3,000 roles by early November.
By December 2024, the company had nearly 18,600 full- and part-time employees along with 3,500 temporary project employees.
Paramount Skydance did not immediately respond regarding the report.
