New England equaled their longest winning run from the Brady era as they defeated AFC East rivals the Jets by 13 points in the NFL

First-year standout Henderson led the way with three TDs as the Patriots secured an eighth consecutive victory for the first time since star signal-caller Tom Brady's final season with the team in the 2019 season

Signal-caller Maye passed for 281 yards and a TD, connecting on 25 of 34 passes

The triumph increases the New England's lead at the top of the AFC East as they improved to nine victories against two losses, with the Jets at the foot after falling to two wins and eight losses

The Jets had taken the lead at Foxborough with quarterback Justin Fields scoring a five-yard touchdown to cap the New York's opening drive

But the home team answered in the second quarter as the rookie rushed for two short rushing scores before the ball carrier grabbed a reception from Drake Maye at the rear of the end zone halfway into the third period to make it 21 to 7

"It was a key occasion for him rising to the challenge, and it's been excellent for him to keep earning playing time," Maye said of Henderson. "He desires to be excellent."

Justin Fields threw to John Metchie late in the third quarter to close the gap for the visitors but Andy Borregales converted a two kicks in the fourth quarter as the Patriots sealed the triumph
