Kansas City Chiefs Confirm Alleged Abuse Allegations Involving Wide Receiver the Athlete
The Kansas City Chiefs issued a statement Wednesday night indicating they have knowledge of domestic violence allegations made public in social media posts by a ex-partner of player the athlete and were in communication with the league office.
The team did not mention Rice specifically in their announcement and said they would have “nothing more to add at this time”.

The woman, who likewise did not name the athlete by name, posted a series of photos on Instagram that seemed to depict signs of physical abuse. Jones did say the individual in question was the parent of her kids, and reports indicate she has kids with the football player, whom the Chiefs selected in the 2023 draft.

No police reports were on file in Overland Park, Kansas where the alleged abuse is said to have taken place.
