Helicopter Spirals Out of Control into Palm Fronds at Well-Known Southern California Beach
A helicopter hovering above a crowded southern California shoreline suddenly started spinning uncontrollably, ultimately dropping height and plunging into a cluster of palm fronds as beachgoers watched.
Recordings shared on social media capture the aircraft beginning to twirl over the shoreline then plunging in the direction of the perimeter of the coast, where it becomes wedged among palm trees and a steps near the shoreline route.
Emergency Response Details
Emergency responders stated five persons were rushed to the hospital comprising a pair who were in the helicopter and were “extracted safely from the crash site” following the incident on that day.
Three persons on the street were harmed. Details on their injuries were not immediately available.
