Barça Ready for Historic Fixture at Upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend

Barcelona have announced they will play at the partially upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend. They will welcome Athletic Bilbao in La Liga over two years following their departure to allow renovations to start.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited though over 45,000 attendees can be present under the licence granted. When completed, the Camp Nou is due to hold over 104,000 attendees, increasing from the former 99,000. Officials confirmed completed upgrades featured a renovated tunnel for players plus modern locker rooms.

Recent Activities

Barça organized a public practice at the Camp Nou in early November. They mentioned they were hoping for permission from European football’s governing body to host the next European match against Eintracht Frankfurt next month at Camp Nou. They have been hosting matches in the temporary ground.
